In it, a political leader desperately pleaded with a daily laborer for his vote, highlighting the unsettling intersection of politics and poverty. The video captured a moment that felt both surreal and deeply troubling. A leader, who should ideally represent the interests of all, was reduced to begging for a single vote from someone who likely struggles to make ends meet.
